Have you ever had a medical bill and wonder what it means? Is it Greek? Do you receive bills, even though you have health insurance? If you want to know how to fight back, read on!

Welcome to a better understanding of the first step in the processing of your medical bill. The fees are entered into the computer. This information will then be on your insurance by mail or electronically.

This form was developed by your provider, example: hospital, doctor, office, lab or X-ray.

The insurance companies love to the doctor or facility complicated explanation of benefits. They, like their customers, the same copy.

With this information in hand, you can then contact your doctor in the office and they intervene on your behalf.

Your request can always be challenged by the doctor's office and you.

Your request can always be billed, if necessary.

Your Responsibilities:

(1) CO pays

(3) Retention

All these are on your explanation of benefits. This is the way your insurance will pay your claim without change.

Keep all your explanation of benefits. Do not worry, your insurance company.

If you believe that you are not an adequate explanation, talk to the supervisor.

The insurance companies on untrained people in medical institutions to prepare and submit your claim form. The insurance companies hope that the explanation of benefits will be at face value and never questioned.

PATIENT confidentiality:

Be aware of any changes in relation to the laws of the patients treated.
